210 m asl - about 2.400 inhabitants.On the north-west side of Lake Maggiore, on the slopes of Mount Cargiago, beautiful numerous villas and a rich vegetation abound at Ghiffa.
To see: panoramic lakeside walk and S. Croce church (18th century).
Recommended trips to Ronco, to the Trinity Shrine, with frescoes and chapels dating back to the 17th century, to Frino and Susello, with frescoed chapels of the 16th century. Water sports and important tennis club. In 1987 the "Special Natural Reserbe of S. Trinità", covering over 200 hectares, was founded. Lake Maggiore Boat service.
